Considered one of the first Mexicans to settle in Hartford, CT, artist/muralist Carlos Hernández Chávez has established himself as a leader in the arts community and a dedicated humanist. A self-taught musician, his his pursuits have included recordings with RCA of Mexico, and tours in Spain and Trinidad-Tobago. His murals are in display in Connecticut and London, and his work is in private and institutional collections in the UK, Greece, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico and Netherlands.
